Who we are

You can read everything without an account

All briefs, indicators, tax guides, events, places and the bus planner are free to read without signing in. We do not show advertising and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Location: “Near me” and the bus planner can use your phone's location. It is used on your device to sort places or plan a trip and is not stored on our servers.

Where data is kept

Our server and database are hosted by Render in Frankfurt (European Union). Sign-in with Google or LinkedIn uses Supabase. Emails are sent through our email provider. Push notifications go through Apple and Google's notification services. These providers process data only to run these services.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Anonymous statistics are kept for up to two years. Suggestions are kept for as long as they are useful to plan articles.

Delete your account and data

In the website or the app, open Settings › Account › Delete my account, type DELETE (or your password) and confirm. This deletes your account, saved items, reading history, settings and device registrations at once, and removes the text of your comments. You can also ask us through the support page and we will delete it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data at any time, in line with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius and, where it applies, the EU GDPR.

Children

MoBriefs is a general news and information service. Accounts and comments are intended for people aged 13 and over. Some nightlife event listings are for adults only, as stated on each event.
